Manhattan DA Learns His Fate After Arresting Trump!
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Friday, House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) expanded his probe into the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office after sending a letter to one of the leading prosecutors to further discuss the probe into the hush money payments made by former President Donald Trump.
In a letter sent to Matthew Colangelo, a former Justice Department attorney, Jordan has requested all of the correspondence he has with the DA’s office before joining the investigation led by District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D). Jordan starts by writing how Colangelo, prior to joining the investigation, had served in senior positions in the U.S. Department of Justice, which has its own investigations against Trump. They continue by claiming that because of his involvement in positions that dealt with probes into Trump, they wanted his full cooperation in their oversight probe.
They further requested that Colangelo hand in any documentation that relates to the motivation that the DA’s office had in hiring him.
This request comes only days after Jordan subpoenaed Mark Pomerantz, a former employee in the DA’s office who resigned a year ago over disagreements with the approach that Bragg was taking regarding Trump’s case. Pomerantz’s resignation letter noted that in his view Trump was “guilty of numerous felony violations,” but that Bragg had been reluctant to file any charges against him.
Bragg has criticized Jordan for his decision to launch a probe into this case and for “interfering in an ongoing criminal matter in state court.”
