Putin Casts First Stone – Military On HIGH ALERT

(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Earlier this week, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) detected a Russian aircraft flying close to the Alaskan airspace where the U.S. military has been training.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the command pointed out that the aircraft had been spotted in the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) on Monday. The Russian warplane did not enter into the Alaskan or Canadian airspace but instead flew only in international airspace. This incident took place as planned large-scale military training exercises were ongoing in Alaska or around the state. It was not disclosed by NORAD exactly which military drills had been taking place.

Russian activity in the Alaska ADIZ is usually not considered a threat and is something that frequently occurs. According to the Pentagon, Russian military aircraft are spotted flying into the zone six or seven times each year. The U.S. fighter jets last week intercepted six Russian aircraft flying in the ADIZ during military training exercises.

Pentagon press secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder dismissed the concerns about the importance of the timing of these events. As he argued it does happen on occasion that military aircraft have been flying in the ADIZ during military training exercises. He added that there is no reason to attach further significance to this most recent case or to consider it something “out of the ordinary.”

The command argued that if necessary NORAD was in a position to respond to any threats to North America.

During the time of the Russian military aircraft flying in the ADIZ, President Biden was also on his way to Alaska for a refueling stop while traveling to Japan.
