Trump Continues Beating DeSantis in Polls!
(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Tuesday an Emerson poll showed that Trump is in the lead among possible Republican candidates with him winning 58 percent of the vote in the early primary state. DeSantis was the only other candidate in the double digits and he only had 17 percent of the voters’ support. In third place was New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu with 7 percent, who was followed by former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley at 6 percent.
Spencer Kimball, the executive director of Emerson College Polling, in a statement, said that Trump’s predominant basis is GOP primary voters under the age of 35. However, DeSantis is more popular with voters who are above the age of 65 as well as with those who had a higher level of education. However, those specific numbers are not measured in this New Hampshire poll.
Sununu who has served as the state’s governor since 2017, was not able to hit the double digits even though he has 64 percent approval ratings.
Trump is also holding a large lead over the Republicans who have already announced their presidential campaigns. These include Haley and conservative entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy. In a race just against those two Trump won 73 percent of the votes, while Haley won 20 percent and Ramaswamy had 7 percent.
Last month’s Emerson survey showed that the former President has the support of 55 percent of Republicans nationally, while DeSantis had the support of 30 percent.
Sununu has stated that he is considering placing a bid for the White House but that he has not yet reached a decision.
