Trump Takes JAB at DeSantis Amid Indictment Talk!

(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Monday, former President Trump quickly made a jab at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is widely considered to be his main potential rival for the GOP presidential nomination, after DeSantis expressed his opinion over the potential indictment of Trump in New York.

In a Truth Social Post, Trump stated that “Ron DeSanctimonious” would probably learn more about “FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES” in the future as he ages and his popularity increases. He added that he was certain DeSantis would also have to “fight these misfits just like I do.”

DeSantis has previously dismissed Trump’s repeated attacks stating that “I don’t spend my time trying to smear other Republicans.”

On Monday, DeSantis made the first public comment about the potential indictment that Trump might face in connection to the hush-money payment made on his behalf prior to the 2016 presidential election. In his comments, DeSantis alleged that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg was “pursuing a political agenda” and that he was a “Soros-funded prosecutor.”

In regards to the specifics, DeSantis also said that he was not aware of “what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair. I just — I can’t speak to that.”

DeSantis and other potential GOP candidates for the presidential election are in a tough spot as they need to win support from Trump’s supporter base without angering them. The Florida governor had chosen not to speak about the possible indictment until he was directly asked about it by reporters on Monday.
