Military in Shambles Under Biden

The Fourth of July is here. The country is in bad shape under Joe Biden’s administration, and its military is in shambles.

“We are prioritizing equity & inclusion over meritocracy & strength,” tweeted Aldo Buttazzoni of The Next News Network, as he cited an interview with a US soldier stationed in Poland, who wanted to stay anonymous. Aldo wrote that according to the soldier, “[morale] is at all all time low among the troops.”

Aldo’s tweet added some details from the interview with the American soldier in Poland and they verify that what we know has been causing the widespread feeling of disappointment and hopelessness among millions of Americans outside the military is also at work in demoralizing the soldiers. The people running the Biden administration have imposed policies and procedures that would take away as much of the strength from the military as they can.

Soon after taking the presidential office, the Biden administration imposed the COVID vaccine mandates on both civilians and the military. American civilians enjoy the freedom to refuse to comply and legally challenge such dictatorial measures. For the soldiers, unfortunately, this isn’t easy.  Saying no to the jab means being shown the door and killing any benefits you’d otherwise get upon leaving military service. Americans in red states remained mainly free from Biden’s vaccine mandate; those in blue states with tyrannical mandates had the freedom to move to a better state; but not so in the military.

Many soldiers and military employees chose to leave in the spirit of freedom instead of complying with the Biden administration’s assault on bodily autonomy. Aldo cited his interviewee to specify that the vaccine mandate was part of this walkaway:

But it’s not all about the vaccine. The Biden administration has prioritized filling the military with liberals, based on ethnicity and gender. Enlisting more minorities and following “gender integration” make part of this agenda. The soldier speaking on the condition of anonymity pointed to a video showing why an American girl from California decides to join the military.

Much of the video consists of glorifying lesbian women and their daughter’s decision to join the military, not out of patriotism or the spirit of serving the country, but because she feels she needs her “own adventures and her own challenge.”

While the military’s decline by woke political agenda has been fast-tracked under Biden, signs of it became visible around the end of Trump’s presidency. In October 2020, Michael Maddox wrote on the website of the Association Of The United States Army about how the US Army Cadet Command has been encouraging more Hispanic and Black cadets to become military officers. Maj. Gen. John Evans was cited in the story emphasizing the need for more diversity in the military because “diverse organizations are more effective organizations.” 

Do displays of homosexuality and transgenderism, slogans of women rights, and prioritizing diversity over ability make a military strong enough to deter hostile powers? The soldier that Aldo interviewed straightforwardly answers this question:

We have Deterred basically nothing. We were meant to deter Ukrainian invasion and they invaded as soon as we got here. Since then it’s been nothing but a dog and pony show.

Last year, as the sinking morale of the military began making news, LifeZette called the American military “a military of lions led by a senile donkey.” The pun of an old donkey, or Democrat, in charge is interesting and yet scary. On July 4th, we celebrate our freedom and its defense. But what happens to a country that lets its defenders on the borders down?
